-Played in house band at the Apollo Theatre, Harlem, first white group to appear there

-Appeared in movie Rock, Rock, Rock (starring Tuesday Weld) with Jimmy Cavello and the House Rockers. Movie becomes a cult favorite

-Attended Granoff School of Music, Philadelphia

-Appeared in show band in Atlantic City, swinging nightly over audience on a trapeze while playing the saxophone

-Played in blues bands in Philadelphia

-Played in show bands in Las Vegas at Riviera, Sands, Tropicana, and others

-Moved to San Diego, found little jazz being played

-Organized San Diego Society for the Preservation of Jazz, booked and sat in with jazz stars such as Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, and Art Pepper

-Played jazz gigs in concert halls, clubs, bars, restaurants, coffee houses, festivals, public schools

-NCAAP award for hiring African-American musicians

-West Coast Jazz Society award for San Diego's Society's support of jazz

-Started jazz in numerous clubs, including Chuck's Steak House, Half Moon Inn, Elario's, Curries & Bugles

-Served as disc jockey at KSDS, non-commercial jazz station

-Organized, played in UCSD jazz festival with La Jolla Civic/University Symphony and Chorus

-Played at La Jolla Athenaeum Music and Arts Library Concerts-by-the-Sea

-La Jolla Music's "Teacher of the Year" award

-Croce's award for musician contributing most to jazz in San Diego in 1994

-Invited to play at 12th Annual Jazz Festival in Glenwood Springs, CO
